Number of blocked punts by Dickinson in the fourth quarter as it rallied for a 24-17 victory against Juniata. Oh, did we mention that both were returned for touchdowns? The Dickinson offense only managed one first-quarter score and a field goal.

3

Number of times Anna Maria has won in the past four contests. Why is that significant you ask? Well, the fledgling program had lost the first 27 consecutive games in program history before the recent upswing.

6

Total number of wins by Conference USA teams through Week 2. That seems kinda low to us considering there are ... what, about 312 teams in that league?

10

Number of sacks UCLA recorded a year ago. How is that useful to us now? The Bruins already have eight through the first two games of 2012 and are seventh nationally in sacks per game (4.0).

They didn’t want to reach the unlucky 13, so Mississippi State players made a deal with the devil to win their first SEC opener since the turn of the century. OK, they really didn’t make the deal -- but it had been 12 years since the Bulldogs started with a W in league action.

17

Number of players who recorded a carry for Wofford in an 82-0 win against Lincoln (Pa.) on Saturday. The ground game averaged 8.3 yards per carry with no player for the Terriers (2-0) taking more than seven carries in the game. Five different Wofford players punched in touchdowns as the Terriers have recorded more than 400 yards rushing in three consecutive games dating to last season.

Oklahoma State kept one streak in tact despite losing the shootout with Rich Rod’s squad. Arizona won 59-38 on Saturday but the Cowboys picked up their NCAA-leading 20th consecutive game scoring at least 30 points. Two other Big 12 teams (TCU, 8, fourth; Baylor, 7, fifth) also are in the top five.

21

Third-down conversions for Ohio in two games. The Fighting Solichs ... er, the Bobcats converted 13 times in the mild upset at Penn State (really, though, Ohio is good enough even taking away the PSU mess) and then kept eight of 14 drives alive on third down this past weekend while pasting New Mexico State.

74

Number of pass attempts Saturday by Wisconsin-River Falls quarterback Ryan Kusilek against St. Thomas (Minn.). The River Hawks fell 43-9 as the Johnnies countered Kusilek, a freshman, with 400 yards from QB Matt O’Connell.

129

Total points in Grand Valley State’s 83-46 win against Notre Dame (Ohio) on Saturday. The Lakers scored the second-most points in school history and the teams combined for 129 points, the most combined in a game in school history.

267

Puget Sound WR Adam Kniffin totaled this number in receiving yards on 12 catches and in the process set the school’s single-game receiving record. He now holds eight of the nine school receiving records and is just 58 yards away from owning the last one, the career receiving mark of 2,312 yards set from 1979-82.

481

The total offense yardage for Louisiana-Monroe QB Kolton Browning as he led the upset of then-No. 8 Arkansas in overtime. It wasn’t a record, nor was his 412 passing yards (they were fifth and second, respectively, in school history) but we just like reliving that game in our heads.

2,709

Sam Houston State RB Tim Flanders became school’s leading rusher Saturday after rushing 15 times for 120 yards in a 54-7 win against Incarnate Word. He broke the record of 2,688 set by Charles Harris (1991-94).

30,856

Attendance listed for the FCS showdown last weekend between Montana and Appalachian State. The attendance at North Carolina-Wake Forest game? 29,526. We’re not saying anything, but we’re saying …

32,000

It’s a pretty big number and Oklahoma is the only college football program to reach it. The Sooners scored 69 points Saturday against Florida A&M and now have scored 32,025 points all-time.
