Consecutive wins by Boise State in the month of October. The last time the Broncos lost in the month was the first weekend of October 2001 when they fell to Rice, a span of almost 12 seasons.
Number of career field goals for Florida State’s Dustin Hopkins, who broke the ACC record. He added a career-best 56-yarder – the fourth-longest in FBS action this year – in the Noles win against Duke.
Offensive plays by Iowa State, which is not known as a prolific offense, against Baylor on Saturday. The Cyclones ran the fourth-highest amount of plays in a game this season, while posting 557 yards against the nation’s worst defense.
Total receiving yards by Southern California’s Marqise Lee, the fifth-highest single-game total in FBS history. Lee’s total came on 16 catches while helping QB Matt Barkley to a career-best 493 passing yards despite the Trojans losing 38-35 to Arizona.
Rushing yards as a team by Navy in a white-washing of East Carolina on Saturday. The total was the second-highest in FBS this season, trailing only Army’s 516-yard performance against Boston College, and topping Navy’s previous season high of 402 yards against VMI.
Total offense yards in one game by DII East Stroudsburg redshirt freshman QB Matt Soltes, who had the 10th-most yards of total offense in college football history, most yards of total offense in Division II this season (fourth-most in college football overall) and most yards of total offense by a freshman in college football history against LIU Post. Soltes was 26 for 42 for 535 yards and five touchdowns passing, and ran for 131 yards on 12 carries to break the PSAC record.
Combined total offense yards between Division III Hardin-Simmons and Sul Ross State, the most total offense yards in a single game in any division of college football ever. Hardin-Simmons set the division record with 914 yards of total offense in an 86-42 victory Saturday.
Total offense yards by Oklahoma’s Landry Jones, the highest active total in the FBS. He crossed the 14,000-yard barrier Saturday with 356 yards through the air against Notre Dame, but was held without a passing touchdown for the first time this year and only eighth time in 46 games.
