Eureka Athletics
EUREKA 62, KNOX (ILL.) 55 BOXSCORE
You won't get much competition for the top offensive performer award when you set an all-divisions record like Eureka QB Sam Durley did Saturday. A senior signal-caller, Durley threw for 736 yards against Knox (Ill.), breaking the former record of 731 yards set in 2000. Durley averaged an impressive 21.6 yards per completion while helping Eureka put up 821 yards of total offense. Durley had an 86-yarder touchdown pass in the effort, his longest scoring toss in 30 career games. Among his five touchdowns were two to Jake Bane in the final 1:44 of the game to win the shootout.
