Kutztown Kevin Morton set the school record for career touchdown passes, finishing his day with six to run his career total to 91 as the 12th ranked Golden Bears opened their season with a 58-6 win against visiting Saint Anselm. Morton finished 31 of 45 for 406 yards passing and six touchdowns and rushed for 33 yards and another score as he accounted for seven of the team’s eight scores.

MINNESOTA STATE-MANKATO 44, MINOT STATE 10 BOX SCORE
Minnesota State-Mankato’s Isaac Kolstad finished with a team-high nine tackles in a 44-10 win against Minot State to open the season. Playing in his first game for the Mavericks after transfering from North Dakota State and taking a season off, Kolstad also had 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble.

ARKANSAS TECH 16, BACONE 14 BOX SCORE
Sophomore Trevor Pinkston kicked three field goals to help Arkansas Tech to a 16-14 win against Bacone to start the 2012 season. “I’m very proud of Trevor Pinkston,” Wonder Boys’ head coach Steve Mullins said. “He came out here and hit some key field goals and he hit some great punts. I’m very pleased about that.” Pinkston accounted for 10 of the team’s 16 points.
