MICHIGAN 31, AIR FORCE 25 BOXSCORE
Big Blue needed every big play that QB Denard Robinson could come up with as the Wolverines barely held on to beat Air Force in the Big House. Robinson made it happen as he rushed for 218 yards and passed for 208 yards more while totaling four touchdowns. His longest play came with a 79-yard scamper to start the scoring in the first quarter, but his biggest plays came at the end when he threw a scoring pass for the clinching points and led a field-goal drive midway through the fourth quarter for the final points.

GEORGIA 41, MISSOURI 20 BOXSCORE
Jarvis Jones was all over the field in Columbia, Mo., making sure Missouri knew what it was going up against by joining the SEC. The versatile linebacker was second on the team in tackles and caused a pair of turnovers that led to two touchdowns within a minute to put away the road win. Jones had an interception and 21-yard return and then forced a fumble less than 60 seconds later that led to a quick TD and the final 21-point margin. He also added 2.0 sacks and helped the Bulldogs rushing defense as they allowed just 102 yards on the ground.

CLEMSON 52, BALL STATE 27 BOXSCORE
Spencer Benton's only kick Saturday ended in record fashion as he booted a 61-yard field goal, the longest in Atlantic Coast Conference history. Normally Clemson's punter and kickoff specialist -- he also had two punts for a 43.0-yard average against BSU -- Benton came on right before halftime and snuck one between the posts as time exprired, setting a school record previously held at 57 yards by a pair of Tiger kickers who went on to NFL careers. His long-range kick topped the previous ACC mark of 60 yards in a 2007.
