Offensive line starters John Hosey, Adam Trybula, John Cannova, Joe Guenther and Greg Whalen helped North Central (Ill.) jump to a 37-3 halftime lead before cruising to the 58-17 victory against North Park. The Cardinals posted 474 rushing yards on the day, the third-highest total in school history and the most since 1991. A total of nine Cardinals rushed for a least 15 yards behind the impressive front, with two players – Jordan Tassio (112) and Ryan Kent (103) — topping the century mark. In 52 total rushes, the Cardinals had just four negative yards while averaging 9.1 yards per rush. The offensive line also protected QB Spencer Stanek by not allowing a sack as he threw for 116 yards and score, giving North Central the ninth-highest total offense mark in school history.
