New Mexico's Kasey Carrier had 39 carries for an FBS season-high 338 yards with three touchdowns in Lobos' loss to Air Force. Carrier's rushing total set a Mountain West Conference record, scored on runs of 1, 1 and 37 yards and was chased down after runs of 59 and 68 yards that set up New Mexico's first two scores. Carrier broke New Mexico's single-game rushing mark of 265 yards set by Quincy Wright against Weber State 10 years ago, and surpassed the conference mark of 285 yards set by Gartrell Johnson of Colorado State against Fresno State in the 2008 New Mexico Bowl.

The Tigers got three interceptions and made two fourth-down stops in their victory against the Hokies. Clemson's Jonathan Meeks had two picks -- his first of the season -- including one he took back for a 74-yard touchdown. "From the sidelines, I believe it was their best effort," Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney said of the Tigers' defense, which spurred Clemson to its third consecutive victory against Virginia Tech.

Freshman Jaden Oberkrom kicked six field goals and converted all five point-after attempts in the Horned Frogs' triple-OT loss against the 18th-ranked Red Raiders. Oberkrom twice booted 45-yard field goals and also had kicks from 32, 32, 38 and 42 yards. Oberkrom's 42-yard field goal came with 18 seconds remaining in regulation and capped a nine-play, 56-yard drive to send the game into overtime.
