Records continued to fall by the Saturday as Colgate cleared another Patriot League hurdle and set up a showdown with Lehigh for the conference championship next Saturday. The Raiders dismantled visiting Lafayette 65-41, scoring the most points by a Colgate squad in 71 years. Among the highlights, was Gavin McCarney setting school records for total offensive yards in a game (512), rushing yards by a quarterback in a game (288) and a season (1,010), and consecutive games throwing a touchdown pass (12). McCarney also teamed with tailback Jordan McCord (203) to become Colgate's first pair of 200-yard rushers in the same game.

Caleb Schaffitzel led the Missouri State defense with his second consecutive two-interception game to go along with 10 tackles. The Bears held No. 2 North Dakota State to only 83 yards of offense in the second half on Saturday. Missouri State's biggest play came on a school record 100-yard interception return for a touchdown by Schaffitzel.

Arthur Goforth, who leads the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in all-purpose yards, added to his total with 225 all-purpose yards on Saturday. It included a school-record 92 yard punt return for a touchdown that gave the Eagles a 17-10 lead. The electrifying senior amassed a team-high 61 rushing yards, 15 receiving yards, 57 kickoff return yards and 92 yards on the recording-breaking punt return. Goforth now has six career special teams touchdowns with three kickoff return scores and three punt return visits to the end zone.
