The Moccasins are the 2010 Sunshine State Conference men's golf champions!  With four golfers shooting final rounds under 70, the Moccasins claimed their 15th SSC men's golf title overall and their second in the last three years.

In Tuesday's final round at the Grand Oaks Golf Club in Davie, the Moccasins duplicated their score of 273 from Monday's second round, giving them the two lowest rounds of the tournament.  FSC finished with a final team score of 835 for a five-stroke victory over runner-up Barry.  Defending champion Nova Southeastern was third, eight strokes back at 843.

Jude Eustaquio, who had an opening-round score of 70, fired a second straight round of four-under-par 67 to finish in second place with a 204, one stroke behind individual tournament winner Carlos Velez of Barry, who shot rounds of 66-68-69 to finish at 203.

Matt Stauch and Shelton Smith also had rounds under 70 for the second straight day.  Stauch shot a 68 and finished at 208 in a tie for fifth with Smith.  It was Stauch's best finish in the SSC Tournament in his four-year FSC career.  Smith shot a second straight round of 69 for his 208.

Danny Evelyn had a one-over par 72 in the final round to finish at 219 in a tie for 24th.  Peter Creighton shot a career-best 69 in the final round to finish at 220 in a tie for 26th.

The Moccasins will now await word on the their selection for the NCAA Super Regional May 3-5 at Wilson, N.C.
