DUPONT, Wa. -- Alex Fitch and Taylor Klopp both carded even-par 72s on Saturday to lead Linfield to the first-day lead at the Lutes Invitational at The Home Course.

Linfield shot 12-over-par 300 on the 7,037-yard, par 72 layout. Whitworth is four shots back at 304, followed by PLU with 312 and North Idaho College with 315. Rounding out the team scoring are Puget Sound with 322, George Fox 327, Willamette 329 and Pacific 358.

Whitworth stayed in the hunt via the one-over-par 73 scores recorded by Stephen Plopper and Jesse Salzwedel.

Pacific Lutheran's top player was freshman Tim Livermore, who is in fifth place by himself after carding a three-over-par 75. Other PLU scores on Saturday had Dustin Hegge with a 78, Sam Hodge 79, Scott Zhang 80 and Daron Casey 82.
