Woverines shoot season-best 302 to grab lead after first round

WYOMING, Del. – Wesley shot a season-best 302, at the 6,803-yard Wild Quail Golf Club and leads the Capital Athletic Conference Championship by 11 strokes after the first round which was held on Friday afternoon. Robert Ehrhardt leads the individual championship by two shots against teammate Clayton Bunting after shooting a 1-under 71.

Trailing Wesley for the team title are defending champion Stevenson (313), York (320), Marymount (324) and Hood (351).

The Wolverines own the top three individual spots with Ehrhardt, Bunting (1-over, 73) and Cody Pestun (2-over, 74) ahead of the field. Stevenson’s Ben Lukehart (4-over, 76) and Justin Hughes (6-over, 78) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

Also turning in cards for the Navy & White were Mike Robinson (84) and Erik Shellenhamer (85) who currently sit in 19th and 20th out of 26 golfers.
