Neumann wins CSAC championship
Donohue finishes with a final round 77 to lead Knights to title
WILMINGTON, Del. -- Neumann won the Colonial States Athletic conference (CSAC) championship with a combined score of 649 and two strokes ahead of Keystone to take the title, on Saturday afternoon at the Brandywine Country Club.
Coach Frank Sill captures the elusive title that he has long sought after for years. It would take a team effort to accomplish their goal of winning the title and a team effort they would get.
Chris Donohue was in the final grouping and finished with a 77. The Keystone player hit the ball into the pond and two putted out on the eighteenth hole. Donohue hit the par 3 green on the eighteenth and putted the team to victory.
Donohue finished second overall shooting a 77 on both days, earning himself first team honors.
Ryan Dreger was a big influence in the two day tournament. Dreger finished fourth overall (158) gaining first team All CSAC award.
Bruce Bandos shot an 83 in the first round, but shot the lights out with a 77 on the second day. As Bandos kicked his game into another gear and the scores were reflected in Bandos getting second team all conference.
Tyler Hiriak shot an overall 183 and Jeremy Gates hit a 186, as both share the spoils of being victorious.
