LUFKIN, Texas -- Utilizing sophomore individual champion Cheyne Kendall's 5-over-par 74-74-73, Schreiner cruised to its first American Southwest Conference title on Tuesday at Crown Colony.

Schreiner, which also led after the first round's 36 holes, posted a 312-303-306--921 for a 22-stroke victory against runner-up and defending champion Texas-Tyler (318-308-317).

Louisiana College (320-317-314--951) was third, followed by Texas-Dallas (962), Mary Hardin-Baylor (963), Hardin-Simmons (977), Texas Lutheran (985), Concordia (Texas) (1,008), Mississippi College (1,010) and LeTourneau (1,047).

Kendall was one of just two golfers in the field of 50 to post all three rounds in the 70s, joining individual runner-up Robby Schimmels (73-78-77--963) of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Schreiner's Zach Oliver recorded an 80-73-77--230 to tie for third place individually. Also contributing to the Mountaineer's card was Phillip Stewart (77-77-81--235), Jimmy Keener (84-79-76--239) and Kelby Ruiz (81-84-80--245).

Joining Kendall, Schimmels and Oliver on the ASC All-Conference First Team was Concordia's Jack Cersosimo (78-79-73--230), Texas-Tyler's Trent Boudoin (76-76-80--232) and Louisiana College's Daniel Deloach (72-78-82--232).
