The Golden Eagles entered Tuesday with a 10-stroke lead on Oakland after battling windy weather conditions for the better part of two rounds Monday.
ORU managed to hit its stride in day two however, extending the lead to 27 strokes by the completion of the final round.
“The wind worked as an equalizer to keep the field close in our opening two rounds,” stated head coach Lance Watson. “I was really proud of how the girls came out today. They played like defending champions, stretched the lead early and really put pressure on the other teams.”
In addition to the team title, Watson was recognized as the Women’s Coach of the Year, while Moreno was named Women’s Newcomer of the Championship.
Robbins and Reeves were added to the Women’s All-Tournament Team.
