Methodist holds steady in third round

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The Methodist women's golf team maintained their lead after the third round of the 2011 NCAA Championships.
Methodist shot 328 in the third round for a three-day total of 966 (318-319-329) for a 12-stroke lead over Gustavus Adolphus College. The Gusties are in second with a 978 (322-333-323) while Illinois Wesleyan is in third at 991 (332-333-326).
Paige Caldwell held onto the individual lead after carding a 78 for a three-day total of 232 (77-76-79). Emily Jackson shot a team-low 77 for the day with four birdies to move into fifth place with a 241 (85-79-77). Gretchen McLean is tied for 14th with a 247 (81-82-84) and Andrea Daly is five strokes back with a 252 (77-86-89). Kelsie Carralero has a three-day total of 258 (83-82-93).
