The NCAA on Wednesday announced the 2013 Division I Women’s Golf Championship East Regional, scheduled for May 9-11, will be held at the Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.

“The Auburn University Club is a tremendous course that will provide a great challenge to our student-athletes,” said Velvet Milkman, chair of the Division I Women’s Golf Committee and the senior woman administrator and head women’s golf coach at Murray State University. “Auburn has a history of hosting quality championship events so we expect this one to be no different.”

The Auburn University Club has hosted numerous tournaments, including the 2003 NCAA Men’s East Regional Championship in addition to the 2011 Southeastern Conference Women’s Golf Championship.

The course opened in 1999 and is home to the Tigers’ men’s and women’s golf teams.
