GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Grand Canyon earned its consecutive NCAA championships berth after a second-place showing at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf West Super Regionals at the Tiara Rado Golf Course.

The Antelopes shot a 91-over 943 to punch their ticket to the nationals that will be held on May 15-18 at the LPGA International in Daytona, Fla.

St. Edward’s took the top spot in the regional after its 80-over 932. Tarleton State earned the final NCAA bid after finishing in a third-place tie with Dallas Baptist. Each finished with a team score of 950 after the 54 holes, with Tarleton State being awarded the final spot based on a scorecard playoff (1,200-1,206). The two squads first played a playoff hole, but that also ended in a tie and forced the scorecard playoff.

Charlotte Jaengkit led the Antelopes with a 73 on Tuesday and completed the event as the co-regional medalist with a 17-over 230. Sonoma State’s Spencer Heller tied Jaengkit and earned an individual bid to the NCAA championships.

GCU’s Emily Kaye finished in a tie for seventh with a 20-over 233. Teammate Ali Thompson (242) tied for 26th.
