INDIANAPOLIS -- For the first time in NCAA Division I Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships history, the teams and individuals that will participate in the 2014 Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships will be announced live on national television via Golf Channel.

The 2014 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships selections will be announced live on Monday during Golf Central, Golf Channel’s daily signature news show, with dedicated segments airing that evening from 6-7 p.m. ET.  Additionally, Golf Central will be streamed live on Golf Channel’s website via Golf Live Extra at golfchannel.com and posted afterward on ncaa.com. The selections news release will be available on ncaa.com immediately following Golf Central.

The 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships selections will be announced live on May 5 from 10-11 a.m. during Morning Drive, Golf Channel’s daily morning news and lifestyle show.

Additionally, Morning Drive will be streamed live on Golf Channel’s website via Golf Live Extra at golfchannel.com and posted afterward on ncaa.com. The selections news release will be available on ncaa.com immediately following completion of Morning Drive.

Selection coverage will be just the start of coverage of the 2014 Division I Men’s Golf Championship by Golf Channel. The network will provide highlights from regional play (May 15-17) leading up to coverage of the 2014 championship to be held May 23-28 at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., hosted by Wichita State. Golf Channel will provide live coverage of the final day of individual championship play on May 26 as well as the team match play on May 27-28. 

Through a multi-year partnership with the NCAA, Golf Channel is scheduled to air tournament action from both the Division I Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships beginning in May 2015. Both the women’s (May 22-27) and men’s championships (May 29-June 3) will be played at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla. next year, with South Florida serving as host. The 2015 championships will mark the first time since 2005 that the Division I Women’s Golf Championships will air live on television.
