Plattsburgh St. downs No. 6 Williams
Craig’s game-winner follows Corry’s goal 19 seconds into game

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Three Cardinals tallied multiple points to lead No. 13 Plattsburgh State to a 5-1 win over No. 6 Williams in a non-conference game at the Stafford Ice Arena on Monday.
Just 19 seconds into the game, Ryan Corry gave the Cardinals a 1-0 lead as Nick Jensen and Ryan Craig picked up the assists. Two minutes later, Craig was credited with the eventual game-winner when a puck deflected off a Williams player and past Eph goaltender Ryan Purdy.
Williams cut the Plattsburgh lead to 2-1 at the 8:17 mark on a power play goal from Connor Olvany. Matt Masucci and Ben Contini assisted on Olvany’s eighth of the year.
The rest of the evening was all Plattsburgh, as Dan Sliasis scored his fourth of the season from Dylan Clarke and Kyle Kudroch at 4:36 of the second period. Clarke added a goal of his own at the 12:44 mark of the third period. Ryan Farnan closed out the scoring with an empty net goal with just six seconds left on the clock.
Plattsburgh held a 28-25 advantage in shots. Purdy recorded 23 stops for the Ephs while Josh Leis made 24 saves for the Cardinals and improved to 10-1-1. The Cardinals are now 11-4-1 overall.
