BOSTON - The fourth-ranked Boston University men's ice hockey team (10-4-1, 5-4-1 Hockey East) will look to extend its four-game unbeaten streak when it closes out the first half of its season with a home contest against UMass Lowell (8-7-0, 5-5-0) on Friday (Dec. 12). Game time is set for 7 p.m. The Terriers will hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss during the second intermission of Friday's contest.
BU is coming off a three-point weekend against cross-town rival Boston College and is now 3-0-1 since dropping a pair of contests to Vermont on Nov. 21-22. UMass Lowell was swept in its home-and-home series with New Hampshire last weekend after posting an impressive 5-1-0 record between Nov. 14-29.
The Terriers and River Hawks met back on Nov. 7 with BU pulling off a wild 6-4 road victory. The Terriers scored half of their six goals in the final 2:14, including sophomore Colin Wilson's game-winner with 14.5 seconds left in regulation. Wilson finished the night with two goals and two assists. Senior Chris Higgins tallied the game-tying goal with 2:14 left in the third before adding another with just six-tenths of a second left on the clock.
