BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Sophomore Dan Lawson (Oak Forest, Ill.) scored the game-winning goal in the second overtime lifting Vermont past Air Force 3-2 in the NCAA East Regional Final. The Catamounts advance to the Frozen Four for the second time in school history.

The goal was Lawson's second of the game and third of the tournament.

Sophomore Josh Burrows (Praire Grove, Ill.) would get the Catamounts on the board at 3:56 in the third, firing in a slap shot from the point across Air Force goalie Andrew Volkening to beat him stick side and tie the score at 1-1. It was Burrows' fifth goal of the season as junior Patrick Cullity (Tekwsbury, Mass.) picked up an assist. Sean Bertsch and Paul Weisgarber each tallied goals for the Falcons.

Vermont freshman goaltender Rob Madore (Venetia, Pa.) had 46 saves for the Catamounts.
