BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Mike Grace assisted on three goals as the Plattsburgh State men's hockey bounced back for a 7-3 win over Brockport in conference action at Tuttle Arena. The Cardinals improve to 1-1-0, while Brockport drops to 0-3-0 (0-2-0 SUNYAC).

Plattsburgh struck first on a power play goal from Vick Schlueter at 6:59 of the first period. Kyle VanDermale added an unassisted goal at 16:08 and Dan Sliasis picked up his first goal of the season to give the Cardinals a 3-0 lead at the end of the first.

Brockport's Ray Tremblay and Ian Finnerty scored within the first five minutes of the second, trimming the Plattsburgh lead to 3-2.

The Cardinals regained momentum as Kyle Kudroch netted the game-winner off a feed from Grace at 14:27 of the second. Ian DeLong closed out the scoring in the second period with a power play goal, stretching the Plattsburgh lead to 5-2.

Freshman Nick Jensen and Dylan Clarke tacked on two more for the Cardinals in the third period.

Ryan Williams got the start in net for the Cardinals, making 19 saves to improve to 1-1-0 on the season.

Plattsburgh dominated in shots on goal, 56-22, and went 3-for-6 on the power play.
