Prior to this week, the last time UND had appeared in either poll was Nov. 18 when it was No. 14 in the USA Today poll and No. 15 in the USCHO rankings.

UND is riding a nation’s-best seven-game winning streak after a National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) sweep of Colorado College last weekend in Grand Forks. UND won 5-3 on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday to claim a third consecutive series sweep.

Minnesota remained the top-ranked team in both polls, garnering 48 of 50 first-place votes in the USCHO poll and 33 of 34 in the USA Today rankings.
