Rochester Institute of Technology scored three power-play goals and added a short-handed goal as the nationally ranked No. 5 Tigers breezed to a 6-1 non-conference win against visiting Hamilton College at Ritter Arena on Dec. 3.

RIT (6-1-1 overall) opened the scoring on a short-handed goal 6:06 into the first period. The Continentals' lone goal came just 37 seconds later on a power play from the same penalty.

Amy Allen '10 jammed a loose puck home from in front of the net after a shot from Stephanie Miguel '11 was stopped. All four of Allen's goals have come on the power play this season. Miguel has registered at least one point in all six games for the Continentals (4-2). She leads the team with eight assists and 12 points.

The Tigers found the back of the net two more times in the first period. Hamilton and RIT skated to a scoreless second period, but the home team knocked in three more goals in the third to clinch the victory. Hamilton was outshot 57-18. Lesley Ryder '11 made 51 stops in her first career start.

The Continentals return to action on Friday, Dec. 5, for a New England Small College Athletic Conference game at Trinity College.
