The SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team faces a tough challenge as they take on the Soaring Eagles of Elmira in two games this weekend at Maxcy Hall Ice Arena. Friday's game will be at 7 pm with Saturday's game at 3 pm.

Elmira is 11-3-1 (8-1-1 in ECAC West) and ranked #4 in the latest USCHO Division III poll.  They defeated Utica in their last game 7-1.  Jamie Huntley (La Jolla, CA/California Selects U19) leads the team in goals with 12 and has 10 assists giving her 22 points.  Kayla Coady (Charlottetown, PEI/Berkshire School) leads the team in assists with 14 and is second in goals scored with 11 giving her 25 points to lead the team.  Goaltender Allison Cubberly (Bracebridge, ONT/Clearview Stars Mid AA) has only given up 18 goals all season and has made 292 saves. Her save % is .942 and she also has a 1.38 GAA and four shutouts on the season.

Potsdam is 3-7-2 (2-6-2 in ECAC West).  They split with Cortland last weekend winning 3-0 in the first game and losing the second one 2-1.  Breanna Roy (Orleans, ONT/Nepean Wildcats) and Stephanie Malcolm (Hamilton, ONT/Hamilton Hawks) have four goals each to lead the team and Roy's five assists also leads the team. Hillary Hitchman (Potsdam/Oswego State) has made 384 saves in goal.
