ADRIAN, Mich. –- Courtney Millar’s goal in overtime sent No. 9 Adrian College to a 4-3 victory against No. 8 Wisconsin-Superior on Friday night.

Millar scored from an assist by Kristin Maton with a little more than four minutes into the extra session in Adrian’s first home game since mid-November. The Bulldogs (13-3) are 5-0 at home.

Brittany Zeches turned aside 42 shots in getting her 12th win of the season.

The game was a seesaw event that saw the Bulldogs climb to a 3-0 lead, only to have the pesky Yellowjackets (8-5) tie the game and send it into overtime.

The first period was all Adrian, outshooting UW-Superior 9-8, and taking a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

Devyn Fitzhenry scored her fifth goal of the season with a little less than eight minutes to play in the first period to give Adrian a 1-0 lead. Audrey Noles notched her first of the year with less than one minute to play in the first and a 2-0 lead.

Fitzhenry then scored her second of the night with a little three minutes into the second period to stake the Bulldogs to a 3-0 lead.

Both Fitzhenry and Maton had multiple-point nights, while single assists were awarded to Lauren Zachwieja, Kelsey Kusch and Danielle Smith.
