ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- For the first time this season, Nazareth cracked the top 20 in the latest Division III rankings compiled by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. Nazareth is ranked 17th.

The Golden Flyers won their fourth consecutive game and improved to 10-4 overall with last Saturday's 17-8 home-field victory against then-No. 6 Stevens, which slipped to 11th in this week's poll. The Golden Flyers also had solid victories against 16th-ranked St. Lawrence, then-No. 14 Springfield and Ithaca.

Nazareth is 5-0 in Empire 8 Conference games and can be no worse than the second seed for the Empire 8 Conference Tournament that starts May 1. The Golden Flyers visit St. John Fisher Wednesday for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
