ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Senior Lindsay Abbott recorded five goals and five assists and senior Erin Kollar reached the career 100-point mark with a four-goal, three-assist effort as third-ranked Cortland defeated Nazareth 21-7 on Thursday.

Freshman Marilyn Farrell added three goals and two assists, junior Maria Di Fato finished with three goals and one assist and junior Gina Campese contributed two goals and one assist for the Red Dragons (6-1).

Junior Shauna Hutchinson made five saves in 56:05 of action, while sophomore Courtney Morgan played the final 3:55 and did allow any goals nor make any saves.

Megan Cregan led Nazareth (2-4) with two goals. Erinn Wood scored once and assisted on two goals and Amy McIntoshtotaled a goal and an assist. Sophomore goalie Tara Prosak made 14 saves.

Cortland led 6-2 midway through the first half, but Nazareth rattled off three consecutive goals, two by Cregan, and the Golden Flyers were narrowed the deficit to 6-5 with 9:48 left in the period. The Red Dragons responded, however, as Abbott scored the game’s next four goals, followed by tallies by Farrell and Kollar, to take a 12-5 lead with 2:07 left. McIntosh scored for the hosts with 25 seconds left to close Nazareth’s halftime deficit to 12-6.

Cortland put the game away with six consecutive goals in the first 13 minutes of the second half. Kollar scored three of those goals and now has 103 career points (83 goals, 20 assists). Nazareth’s lone goal of the second half came off the stick of Kayleigh Pearson with 7:12 left. The Red Dragons finished the game with two Campese goals and a score by junior Taylor Harney, who finished with a goal and two assists.
