LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- No. 6 Lock Haven capped off an 11-0 run in PSAC play with a dominating 16-6 win against visiting Mercyhurst in the Lady Eagles' regular-season finale.

The win marked Lock Haven's first undefeated conference season since 1991.

Mercyhurst had no answer for Lock Haven as the Lady Eagles jumped to a fast start from the opening whistle.

A huge part of the story was the play of Chelsea Borrino, who paced Lock Haven's offensive attack with a game-high 10 assists. She broke the LHU and PSAC single-game record for assists. Borrino also ran her season assist total to 58, which is an LHU single-season record.

Jessica Pandolf turned in a strong individual effort as well with eight goals.

Jenna Dingler netted a hat trick and Rachel Ward added two goals.

Seniors Emily Cilla and Samantha Hurley both factored into the score sheet in their final regular-season game on Charlotte Smith Field. Cilla had four assists and Hurley added one goal.

Lock Haven goalie Chrissy Baffuto held down another strong defensive effort. Her eight saves helped limit any flow on offense for the Lakers.

Kelly Close forced two Laker turnovers as Lock Haven's defense smothered Mercyhurst. The Lakers turned the ball over 20 times.

Less than four minutes into the match, it was 3-0 LHU as the Lady Eagles proceeded to jump out to an 8-0 lead. With 10 minutes to play in the opening half, the Lakers finally found the scoreboard.

Lock Haven led 9-2 at half and cruised in the second.
