“Check in to Win” Foursquare Contest
No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win
Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility
A. The Check in to Win promotion is open to all legal U.S Residents except full or part-time employees of the NCAA, Alamodome, participating sponsors and promotional partners, their subsidiaries, and their families,.
B. Contest is void where prohibited.
2. Prize and Taxes
A. One potential winner will receive:
1. Two VIP passes for a behind the scenes tour of the Alamodome from 3:30-4:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
2. Two VIP passes for a pre-championship reception from 4-6 p.m. CT on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
3. Two lower-level tickets for the 2011 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship match on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
B. Winner is solely responsible for:
1. Transportation to and from games
2. All taxes incurred on prizes won.
3. Any other costs/expenses not expressly referenced herein.
4. Providing valid photo Identification in order to claim tickets as well as to enter the Alamodome.
3. How to Play
A. The Check in to Win promotion will be executed on Thursday, December 15, 2011 during the semi-final games.
B. To register you must access the Foursquare mobile application and “check-in” to the event “NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship” while in or around the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
C. To access the referenced application, you must agree to, and are solely responsible for complying with, Foursquare’s terms, and the NCAA shall have no liability in connection therewith.
D. Hours for registration are 6pm-10:30pm CT.
E. Approximate time winner will be notified:
1. 10:30 pm CT Potential Winner drawn by random selection to win a pair of tickets to the Saturday games
F. Potential Winner’s name will be announced on the NCAA Volleyball Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ncaavolleyball) and NCAA Twitter page (www.twitter.com/ncaavolleyball).
G. NCAA Social Media staff will attempt to contact the potential winner via Facebook and Twitter.
H. Six (6) hours after Potential Winner’s name has been publicly announced in the above Facebook and Twitter page, the potential winner will be considered to have forfeited his/her rights to any prize.
I. If there is such a forfeit, an Alternate Potential Winner may be drawn. A new post will be made to contact any such Alternative Potential Winner via Facebook and Twitter. If after three (3) hours the Alternative Potential Winner has not been reached, the Alternative Potential Winner will be considered to have forfeited his/her rights to any prize.
J. The process described in point “I” may continue until an official winner is contacted utilizing the aforementioned guidelines.
K. Once an official winner has been declared, the official winner will be asked to return to the venue on Saturday, December 17 at 4:30 p.m. CT. The official winner will then be brought inside the Alamodome to claim championship tickets, pre-championship reception tickets and begin behind the scenes tour.
L. Winner must have proof of photo identification in order to claim winnings, and must execute any other forms/releases that may be required by the NCAA.
4. Release
By participating in this contest, each contestant gives the NCAA permission and the right to use his or her name and/or any likeness in any photographs, print, video, or audio tapes for publicity purposes with no further compensation, and indemnifies, releases and holds harmless the NCAA from and against any and all liabilities, claims, demands, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) related to or arising out of participation in contest or use of any prize.
5. Claiming the Prize
A. Winner must provide one form of valid identification (driver’s license, birth certificate, state-issued ID) to claim their prize. The NCAA is not required to honor other forms of identification or any identification that has been tampered with or altered.
B. Winner must sign claim sheet (and any other forms required by NCAA) and in doing so acknowledges any and all tax liability.
C. Winner is responsible for providing all requested personal information to the NCAA including Name, Address, Home Phone, Work Phone, and email of BOTH ticket holders.
6. Limitation of Liability/Disclaimers
A. The NCAA shall not be liable in the event of any personal injury or property damage in connection with participation or after prize has been accepted.
B. NCAA shall have the right to cancel, suspend, alter or otherwise terminate this contest at any time, in its sole discretion. All decisions made by NCAA are final.
C. All rules are subject to change at any time with or without prior notice.
D. The NCAA shall have the sole right to interpret the rules.
E. The NCAA’s interpretation of the rules shall be final and binding upon all participants.
