DIII Men's Volleyball
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Led by Most Outstanding Player Mike Pelletier, Springfield won the inaugural Division III Men’s Volleyball Championship, defeating Carthage 3-0 on Sunday. Springfield ended its season with 21 wins in a row, and with an overall record of 33-5 -- and was 18-0 at home. Carthage finished at 29-6.

NC Championship field announced

NC Women's Water Polo
INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Women’s Water Polo Committee has announced the teams that will participate in the 2012 National Collegiate Women’s Water Polo Championship. The championship will be held May 11-13 at the Aztec Aquaplex in San Diego, with San Diego State serving as the host school. The championship will be an eight-team, single-elimination tournament with a losers’ bracket to determine places three through eight.

DI Women's Golf
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Division I Women’s Golf Committee has announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2012 Division I Women’s Golf Regionals. Three regional tournaments will be conducted May 10-12 to determine the championships field. A total of 378 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championships finals. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each regional.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA has announced the field of 80 teams and 32 student-athletes that have been selected to participate in regional competition of the 2012 Division II Men’s Golf Championships. The regional competitions will be held May 7-9.

Women's Regional selections

DIII Women's Golf
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Division III Women’s Golf Committee announced 19 teams and six individuals that will participate in the 2012 Division III Women’s Golf Championships. Eleven conferences were given automatic qualification and the remaining eight teams were selected on an at-large basis from conferences and the remaining independent schools. Six individuals, not from selected teams, also were selected for the championships. The tournament will be contested across 72 holes of play during four days of competition. In the team competition, the low four scores from each team for each day will count in the team’s total score.

DII Softball
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Division II Softball Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the 2012 Division II Softball Championship. Four teams will participate at each of 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments. Regional competition will be held May 4-6. Winners will advance to the super regionals May 11-12. The finals will be held May 16-19 in Louisville, Ky.

BALTIMORE -- Sophomore Rob Guida provided the emotional spark No. 10 Johns Hopkins needed when he opened the scoring with an unassisted goal less than three minutes into Saturday’s showdown at top-ranked Loyola. Guida did himself one better with 2.3 seconds remaining in overtime when he quick-sticked home a pass to the crease from junior Zach Palmer to lift the 10th-ranked Blue Jays to a 10-9 win before a capacity crowd of 6,000 at Loyola’s Ridley Athletic Complex.
