North Andover, MA - The Dominican College men's soccer team fell to the Warriors of Merrimack College, 1-0, this afternoon in the finale of the Merrimack Warrior Invitational held on Warrior Field.

The lone goal of the game came just seven minutes into the contest as junior corner kick deflected of a defender and went into the net for the early 1-0 lead and eventual victory.

Merrimack owned the advantage on shots, firing four on frame to Dominican's one. The Chargers held the edge in corner kicks, 6-3, with all six being awarded in the second half.

Charger goalie Brandon Heembrock tallied three saves in the loss.

With the loss Dominican falls to 1-1 on the season, while Merrimack improves to 2-0.

Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they host the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in a non-conference game to be played at the DC Soccer Field at 3:30 pm.
