INDIANAPOLIS — Tickets for the 2011 NCAA Men’s College Cup, to be played Dec. 9 and 11 at Regions Park in Hoover, Ala., are now on sale.
This marks the first time the championship has been held in the state of Alabama. All session tickets for both semifinals and the championship game are $35. A hospitality upgrade is also available, and can be purchased by visiting www.ncaa.com/tickets.
“We have a strong soccer community in the Hoover/Birmingham area, as well as the state of Alabama, and encourage fans to get their tickets early,” said Mike Getman, head coach of the UAB men’s soccer team. “The best soccer in the country will be displayed that weekend and we hope to have a great turnout.”
“This is the first time the NCAA Men’s College Cup has been hosted in the deep south and we want to show the rest of the country that we are passionate about the sport of soccer,” said Gene Hallman, executive director of the Alabama Sports Foundation. “With all of the ancillary events surrounding the Men’s College Cup, it will be an exciting weekend for the entire family and we are hopeful this will generate a sold-out venue.”
