The Wilmington College Quakers season came to an end tonight when they lost in a hard fought, 1-0, battle with the Knights of Wartburg College.

The Quakers and Knights played neck and neck for the entire game. The game was scoreless until the 84th minute when Kirk Artist of Wartburg found the back of the net. Artist took a ball inside the box and moved his way past some Quaker defenders and beat Justin Saylor (Cleveland Heights/Cleveland Heights) to the far post.

The goal snapped the Quakers four game shutout streak and turned out to be the game winner.

The Quakers out-shot the Knights 10-4 in the first period, 8-6 in the second, giving them an 18-10 edge for the game.

With the loss the Quakers end the season at 17-3-2 for the season.

With the win Wartburg moves to 20-1-2 and will play Messiah College for a chance to advance to Final Four. The game is set for 1:00 pm at Gilhart Field.
