DURHAM, N.C. - Senior Ronnie Bouemboue scored his ACC leading sixth goal of the season with just 49 seconds left, to give 18th-ranked Wolfpack a 1-0 double overtime win at No. 8 Duke Friday night. For the second straight ACC affair, NC State (8-2-1, 2-2-1 ACC) pulled out a conference win in double overtime, and handed the Blue Devils (7-4, 2-3 ACC) its first home loss of the season.

After the two teams played the first 109 minutes to a scoreless draw, NC State would pick up the lone goal of the game in the final minute of play. Junior Lucas Carpenter took the ball from the Pack's half of the field and dribbled down the right sideline. He then slotted a pass into the box, where Bouemboue used his body to shield off a defender and record his sixth goal of the season with just 49 seconds showing on the clock.

The game was not without excitement before the Pack's dramatic win, as the two teams combined to hit the crossbar a total of three times in the contest. Duke's Cole Grossman would strike the post once in the second half and again in the first overtime, while NC State's Kris Byrd hit the crossbar with his shot from 20 yards out with 17 minutes to gi in the second half.

The Pack's defense limited Duke the entire contest, as the Blue Devils only mustered one shot on goal which Pack keeper Christopher Widman saved. Duke held a slight 11-10 advantage in shots, but the Pack had four shots on net compared to just one for Duke.

NC State has now won four straight games, and has earned the shutout in three of those contests. The Pack also improves to 1-1-1 on the season against top-10 foes.

NC State will return to action this Tuesday night, as the Pack plays host to Georgia Southern at 7:00 p.m.
