WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- No. 8-ranked William and Mary defeated the visiting Loyola (Md.) Greyhounds on Saturday night 1-0 at Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Field.  With the win, the College improves its record to 2-1 on the year, while Loyola falls to 1-1 on the season.

No. 2 Akron 2, Cal State Northridge 1
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Scott Caldwell's golden goal in the 106th minute lifted No. 2 Akron to a 2-1, double overtime victory against Cal State Northridge Saturday night at Matador Soccer Field.

Caldwell took a DeAndre Yedlin cross from the right side of the field, played it off his chest and then buried his shot past Northridge keeper Michael Abalos, who finished with 12 saves, at the 105:43 mark. It was the junior midfielder's second goal of the season and third game-winner of his career.

Caldwell's late heroics were nearly unnecessary as the Zips (2-0-1) held on to a 1-0 lead with less than 10 minutes left in regulation.
