Wisconsin-Oshkosh rallies for victory
Two second-half goals lead Titans to win against Wilmington
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- Danny Karrels and Tony Starnes each notched goals early in the second half as No. 3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh rallied for a 2-1 victory against Wilmington on Sunday.
Wilmington (1-1-1) took a 1-0 lead when Evan Schlagetter scored off a pass from James Attinger just 11:01 into play.
The Quakers' advantage held up until Karrels tied the score for the Titans with a goal in the 47th minute of action. Karrels' first collegiate tally came off a cross from Ryan Hanna.
UW-Oshkosh (1-1) then went ahead 2-1 on a goal by Starnes in the 57th minute of play. Starnes broke free down the right sideline and slipped a shot past Wilmington goalkeeper Antonio Trujillo.
The Titans launched 16 shots, including 11 in the second half. Starnes led the way by firing four shots as Karrels and Ryan Redmond each recorded three shots on goal.
The Quakers totaled five shots on the afternoon, with two of them belonging to Schlagetter.
