As a junior, John Dettori was second in the nation in points per game, total goals (26) and total points (59). From Bay Shores, N.Y., the forward finished tied for first in goals per game (26). In just 20 games, Dettori also contributed seven assists.
St. Joseph’s (L.I.) Athletics
From Cincinnati, Ohio, goalkeeper Drew Miller had an impressive 12-1 record in 2011. In 15 games, he recorded 45 saves while allowing only six goals. The sophomore finished seventh in the nation with an .882 save percentage a year ago.
Originally from Steinkjer, Norway, forward Eirik Nordseth played in 16 games in the 2011 season. In those games, the sophomore finished tied for ninth in points per game, tied for 15th in goals (17) and tallied 37 total points on the year.
Sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Nossokoff was seventh in the nation with an astounding .882 save percentage a year ago. In just 13 games during his freshman campaign, Taylor allowed only four goals. He is originally from Lexington, KY.
The first of the dynamic twin duo at Manhattanville, midfielder Erick Olazabal was plagued by injuries during his junior season in 2011. He still managed to appear in 17 games while contributing 12 assists. That mark placed him tied for eighth in the nation.
The second half of Manhattanville’s offensive attack is Eros Olazabal. In 20 games, he finished tied for second in the nation with 26 goals. A junior from Milton, Ontario, Eros also finished fourth in total points (57) and tied for first in goals per game (1.30).
In 13 games as the Bears’ goalkeeper, Michael Miner tallied 175 saves. As a freshman, he finished second in the nation with 13.46 saves per game. From Schenevus, N.Y., Michael looks to improve his statistics in his first complete season.
St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) Athletics
Hoping to set a good example for his new freshman teammate and brother Alex, senior midfielder/forward Stephen led the nation in total assists (23) and assists per game (1.15). From Hamden, Conn., Stephen appeared in 20 games in 2011.
Albertus Magnus Athletics
Entering his junior season, forward George Tor comes off a stellar offensive year. In 24 games, the Rochester, N.Y. native was 15th in assists per game, tied for 13th in total goals (18), tied for seventh in total points (50) and 14th in points per game (2.08).
From Guilford, Conn., senior Ari Sinanis looks to continue his impressive ball distribution in 2012. Last season, he was tied for 20th in the nation with 10 assists in 20 games. That mark was also second overall in the NECC conference.
