Scranton cracks top 25 after upset of Susquehanna last weekend
Scranton is unbeaten in its first 10 games, including a victory against a nationally ranked opponent last weekend. Now, it’s the Royals who will wear the nationally ranked label after moving into the top 25 at No. 22 in this week’s National Soccer Coaches Association of America Rankings.

Also entering the poll this week are No. 16 Swarthmore and No. 23 Illinois Wesleyan, while Ohio Wesleyan, Susquehanna, Dickinson and Hiram dropped out.
Scranton (9-0-1, 2-0 Landmark Conference) went on the road and defeated then-No. 15 Susquehanna 1-0 on a goal by sophomore forward Kevin Kozic on Saturday to remain unbeaten. It’s the longest unbeaten run since the Royals opened 1987 by winning 20 consecutive games.
The Royals are ranked 21st in the nation in Division III in goals-against average at 0.59. They’re also 46th in shutout percentage at .500. They’re winning percentage of 0.95 is seventh in the nation.
Senior goalie James Dillonis ranked 29th in the country in goals-against average at 0.587.
