WINTER PARK, Fla. – After capturing their fourth Sunshine State Conference Tournament crown last weekend, the Tars moved into the top 10 for the first time this season, checking in at No. 6 in the latest NSCAA Coaches’ Poll.
Rollins defeated Eckerd 3-0 behind two goals from Grant Blackhurst on Sunday, cruising to its consecutive Sunshine State Conference Tournament Championship.
The Tars were last ranked in the top 10 in the final week of the 2011 regular season when they were ranked fifth.
LIU Post takes over the top spot followed by Simon Fraser and previous-No. 1 Regis. Rockhurst comes in at No. 4 and Charleston (W. Va.) checked in at No. 5 to round out the top five.
Rollins will continue its postseason run after capturing the top seed in the South Region for the fourth consecutive season and has earned a bye into the round of 16.
