The Wheaton College women’s soccer team will be playing at the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Final Four on Friday, December 5. The Thunder will face Williams College at 5 PM (EST) in a National Semifinal at Macpherson Stadium at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. The winner of Friday’s Semifinal will play in the Division III Championship Match on Saturday, December 6 at 5 PM (EST).

WETN radio will broadcast all Thunder games at 88.1 FM in the Wheaton area and on the internet at www.wetn.org. All matches of the tournament will also have a live video webcast available through www.ncaa.com

Wheaton (21-3-2) advanced out of a NCAA Tournament Sectional at its own Joe Bean Stadium last weekend. The Thunder defeated Washington University (Mo.) 3-0 in the Sectional Semifinal on Friday and advanced Greensboro with a 2-1 victory against Carleton College in Saturday’s Sectional Final. Wheaton is making its fifth Final Four appearance and seeking its third consecutive National Championship and fourth title in the last five years. Wheaton was ranked 22nd in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA)

Williams (19-0-1) earned its trip to Greensboro by winning a Sectional last weekend on its campus in Williamstown, Mass. On Saturday the Ephs defeated The College of New Jersey, 2-1 and won the Sectional Final on Sunday with a 2-0 victory against Ithaca College.
