ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The 22nd ranked UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team saw their NCAA Division III Tournament run come to an end on Sunday evening, as they fell 1-0 to the No. 5 ranked Vikings of Augustana College.

The regular season and Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular season and tournament champion Pointers finish the season 16-4-1. Augustana improves to 20-1-1 and will face Calvin on Friday, Nov. 20 in the NCAA Sweet 16.

Augustana struck first in the game's opening half, as Katie Oakes scored her ninth goal of the season for the Vikings off a Lauren Polock assist at the 28:45 to take the one goal advantage.

Both teams traded shots as time as the opening half came to a close, but neither could capitalize on scoring opportunities, as the score stayed 1-0 at the half.

In the second half, the Pointer offense was shut down by the Augustana defense, unable to record a shot on goal as the Vikings secured the 1-0 victory.

Liz Hunter (Stevens Point) recorded seven saves on the evening while Augustana's Kayla Radloff stopped both Pointer shots on goal to secure the shutout victory.

The Pointers all-time NCAA Tournament record is now 14-14-1 all-time. UW-Stevens Point graduates just one senior, Jackie Spees (Wisconsin Rapids), from a team that posted it's 11th undefeated season in WIAC play this season.
