WESTERVILLE, OHIO - Otterbein (10-0-1, 3-0 OAC), ranked fifth nationally by both the NSCAA and D3Soccer.com, received two goals from Lindsey Rudibaugh and played to a 3-1 victory over Baldwin-Wallace Saturday at Clements Field.

The Cards had a few chances early, but long attempts from seniors Tara Smith and Rachel Degen both sailed just high.

Baldwin-Wallace saw a prime opportunity a few minutes later when a ball got loose in the box, but Otterbein keeper Tara Carter was there to pounce on it two different times and eventually bring it in.

Rudibaugh put the Cards on the board eight minutes before halftime, taking a through ball up the middle from Smith and sliding it past the B-W goalie.

The lead was pushed to 2-0 nine minutes into the second half when Rudibaugh beat two defenders and drilled the ball into the left side of the net.

The Yellow Jackets registered a goal of their own in the 75th minute when a cross from Angelica Meggitt took an odd bounce in the box and over the head of Carter for a score. It was just the third goal allowed all season by Otterbein.

Rudibaugh nearly got the hat trick in the 87th minute when a shot up-close was saved by the keeper, but sophomore Jessica Yaney made her way to the ball in the box and put it away for her first goal of the season.

Otterbein held a 17-5 advantage in shots, and took ten corner kicks compared to none for the Jackets.

Kaitlin Sutter came up with six saves for B-W while Carter was forced to stop three shots for the Cards.
