Emory University senior Meghan McMahon broke a scoreless tie in the second overtime period, lifting the seventh-ranked Eagles to a 1-0 victory over 19th-ranked Lynchburg College in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championships.

McMahon scored the goal in the 104th minute, after the two teams gave a strong defensive effort throughout the contest. It was the senior's first goal of the season.

For the second straight day, the Eagles held their opponent to just four shots, two of which were on goal. Goalkeeper Kaele Leonard earned the victory with two saves on the day, and combined with Erica Stein for the tandem's second-straight shutout.

The Eagles will advance to the round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time in school history, and the first time since 2007. Dates, times and the location of the next two rounds of the tournament will be announced Monday.
