Owens
UT
23 Alexis Owens Key Notes: Jackson was most recently selected to Top Drawer Soccer’s National Team of the Week, as the Southeastern Conference’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 26) and as CollegeSoccer360.com’s Primetime Performer. She registered the first Lady Vol hat trick since 2002 during Tennessee’s 4-2 victory against then-No. 6 Florida on Sept. 25. The hat trick tallied only the 10th in Lady Vol program history. Owens entered the match with only two career goals in 43 matches played. |

• Division I: Pepperdine remains the only unbeaten team in the West Coast Conference, with an 8-0-4 overall record. The Waves lead the WCC in goals per match (2.25) and goals against average (0.62). • Division I: Marquette’s Maegan Kelly scored her team-leading 11th goal of the season against Notre Dame. Marquette is 15-0-0 all-time when Maegan Kelly scores a goal. • Division I: LaSalle is the only Division I team left to not allow a goal on the season. They are 8-0-1 on the season and received votes in the national poll for the first time in school history. Goalie Melissa Sanger has played all 820:34 in goal for the Explorers. That is the 14th longest shutout streak for a goalie in DI history. If she posts both shutouts this weekend it would move her into the top five in NCAA history. • Division II: Stonehill’s Jaemie Fasanello, this week’s NE-10 Defensive Player of the Week, held both opponents’ top strikers scoreless in a 2-0 week for the Skyhawks, including a 1-0 victory against then-No. 25 Southern Connecticut State on Sunday. The Skyhawks have allowed just two goals in seven conference games. • Division II: Bridgeport’s squad has moved up to the number one spot in the nation in this week’s NSCAA Coaches’ Poll. The Purple Knights, who are currently 7-0-0 on the season, reached the top of the poll for the first time in program history. |
