LYNCHBURG, VA – Rowan won 1-0 in overtime against Shenandoah in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament on Saturday night.  Forward Veronica Rhea scored the game-winning goal.

Rhea’s winning goal came at 4:03 into the first 10-minute overtime.  It was her 10th goal on the season and fourth game winner.  The Profs totaled 18 shots while the Hornets took eight.  Goalkeeper Maria Dorris made two saves for the shutout.  For Shenandoah, goalie Kat Terza  turned away eight shots.
