William Smith is ranked No. 1 in the nation for the second consecutive week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.

The Herons played through two overtime periods to a 1-1 tie at then-No. 5 Messiah on Saturday and cruised to a 4-0 win against Lycoming on Sunday to improve to 3-0-1 overall.

Senior Renee Jensen is leading William Smith with 10 points on two goals and six assists. She notched her first goal of the year 15:16 into the match against the Falcons. It was the first time the Herons have scored on Messiah. The next day, Jensen logged a goal and two assists in the victory over the Warriors. Sophomore Madeline Buckley tallied two goals and first-year Nikki Carfi recorded her first collegiate goal against Lycoming.

Junior goalie Chelsea Dunay stopped a career-high 16 shots, including a penalty kick, in the tie with Messiah. She is sporting a .962 save percentage and a 0.24 goals against average.
