Mewis taking flight for Eagles

Wys records fifth shutout helping Seminoles to best start yet

Boston College Athletics
Kristen Mewis was good for five goals this past weekend, helping Boston College to an 8-1 win against Harvard and a 5-1 win versus Clemson. She tallied her first career hat trick against the Crimson and became the all-time leader in points for the program with 96 for her career.
 
Florida State Athletics
Florida State goalkeeper Kelsey Wys recorded her fifth shutout on the season, making four saves in both ranked games this past weekend. The weekend defeats included a 1-0 win against No. 14 Wake Forest and a 1-0 victory versus No. 2 Duke. The Seminoles set the school record for the best start in history at 8-0-0.
 
Notre Dame Athletics
Freshman forward Crystal Thomas tallied a goal in each of the two matchups for Notre Dame during the weekend. She leads the team in goals with four on the season. The Fighting Irish defeated Louisville 2-1 and dropped Cincinnati 7-0. The win against the Bearcats saw seven different players score goals and was the largest conference win since 2005.
