Ithaca grabs two shutout wins
Wis.-Stout falls, 10-0 while Concordia loses, 5-0
CLERMONT, Fla. -- The eighth-ranked Ithaca softball team (4-0) earned another pair of victories Monday, defeating Wisconsin-Stout, 10-0 and Concordia, 5-0 on Monday.
Ithaca 5, Concordia 0
The Bombers earned the shutout behind the pitching of Allison Greaney who threw a complete game and yielded just two hits while striking out six. Freshman Sydney Folk led the offensive attack with a key two-run double, and senior Britt Lillie was 1-for-3 and had a sac fly for the Bombers.
Ithaca 10, Wis.-Stout 0 (6 innings)
Sophomore Jennifer Biondi and senior Kerry Barger had three hits apiece as Ithaca beat Stout in a game shortened by the run rule. Both Biondi and Barger were 3-for-4 on the day with two singles, a double and two runs scored. Sophomore Adrienne Walters went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
Lillie was the winning pitcher. She threw six innings, allowed just one hit and had six strikeouts.
