Pacific falls 4-3; No. 19 Louisiana-Lafayette falls in nightcap
FULLERTON, Calif. – Arizona State grabbed a pair of wins on Friday, topping Pacific 4-3 and No. 19 Louisiana-Lafayette 10-4 on the second day of the Judi Garmen Classic. Game 1: ASU 4, Pacific 3
Game one against the Tigers remained scoreless until the fourth inning when a lead-off walk for Krista Donnenwirth was followed by a single from Kaylyn Castillo, which set up Alix Johnson’s two-RBI double.
An RBI single from Sam Parlich in the fifth followed up by a home run to deep center by Alix Johnson in the sixth gave ASU a 4-0 lead and what looked like control of the game, but the Tigers showed some stripes in the seventh, chasing Popescue from the game putting three runs on the board to bring Hillary Bach and Dallas Escobedo in to close out the game and get the save.
Game 2: ASU 13, No. 19 Louisiana-Lafayette 4
In the nightcap, the Sun Devils slated Dallas Escobedo against Lafayette ace Ashley Brignac in a marquee match-up. The Sun Devils scored three runs on three doubles to grab a 3-0 lead. Three more runs followed in the second inning as RBIs from Krista Donnenwirth, Kaylyn Castillo and Alix Johnson gave ASU a 6-0 advantage.

The Sun Devils added three more in the fifth.
